FRANK Auf dem Mühlberg
The location:
Mühlberg is situated south of the River Main in Sachsenhausen, a poular and time-honoured part of Frankfurt. This were the sun is said to shine more than in Old Frankfurt, and where residents and visitors can enjoy both the quaintness of apple-wine bars and sophisticated cultural offerings.
Formerly characterised by vineyards and garden houses owned by Frankfurt's upper classes, Mühlberg remains one of the most attractive residental areas in Frankfurt. It is here that the project "FRANK Auf dem Mühlberg" with 30 exclusive owner-occupied apartments will now be carried out at a unique location, namely the historically significant and listed Mühlbergparc.
The neighbourhood:
Sachsenhausen offers a perfect mix of living quality, leisure and culture. Mühlberg is close to the Frankfurt’s city forest with the Goethe Tower, recreational parks and sports facilities as well as numerous clubs and organisations.
Also in the vicinity is the heart of Old Sachsenhausen with its traditional apple-wine pubs, not to mention cafés, restaurants and bars, making it a great place to go and out mingle.
Schweizer Strasse offers exclusive shops and boutiques, and a wide range of culture and art awaits in the various museums and galleries located along the Main.
For your everyday needs you will find shops in the immediate vicinity that are within comfortable walking distance.
The architecture
The spacious 2- to 5-room apartments with living space ranging from 90 to 185 square metres will be housed in 6 city villas, with only 3 to 7 apartments to each building.
As with all its previous projects, FRANK is attaching great importance to the individual architecture of this building project, taking great care to ensure that the modern building forms with brickwork facades harmonise with the park grounds.
The park
The listed Mühlbergpark with its beautiful old trees is located directly alongside the project “FRANK Auf dem Mühlberg”. A protective park wall surrounds the entire park grounds.
The park is being restored to its original ambience on the basis of historical records, with particular importance being attached to reconstruction of the most striking points in the grounds and the original pathways. Thus, a new avenue of plane trees will lead to the Goethe Temple and expansive flowerbeds will again border the central driveway.
Once restored, the park will offer an exceptional place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Enjoy nature as you stroll through the park and at the same time discover the ubiquitous historical past of these grounds.
Traces of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe may be found not only in the Mühlbergpark with its 150-year old Goethe Temple. The nearby garden house known as the “Willemer Gartenhäuschen” and the Gerbermühle restaurant on the banks of the Main were favourite meeting places for Goethe and his beloved Marianne von Willemer in Frankfurt.
“FRANK Auf dem Mühlberg” offers you the living environment of your dreams, in a neighbourhood rich in history. Or to use the words of Goethe himself: “Here I am Man; here, dare to be!”
